Interview with Peter Openshaw, Professor of Experimental Medicine at Imperial College:

Sept., 13, 2020 ~ "We know from, for example, the REACT [Real-time Assessment of Community Transmission] study, which is been run by Paul Elliott and Steve Riley, that the reproduction number has now jumped. You know, it was down at about 0.5 at its best during the summer. It's now 1.7.
So that's 1.7 people for every person who's infected and that means exponential growth."

Wow 2% of confirmed cases with a test I am sure we as a group that worked through the crisis would have had more contact than most except emergency workers and porters and burial workers and supermarket staff but yeah 2% not much is it.

You're fixated on one thing and posting links to some very dubious sources.

Most sane people take the Daily Mail with a grain of salt... and a cigarette lighter.

k979aaa, I sense a level of frustration in you over these coronavirus prevention recommendations. I get it, I really do.

Lately I've seen people not wearing masks on buses, trains and in shops when they should be. Or if they're wearing masks, they're not covering their noses, rendering them almost useless. Same goes with places where track and trace information needs to be recorded. One recent example of this was a local bar I deliver mail to on my round. I walked in and as I was handing a letter to the barmaid behind the counter, I asked her why she wasn't in a good mood. She replied saying that some patrons who come in for their afternoon drink are writing in false information on the track and trace list placed near the main entrance.

Stuff like Name: Boris Johnson; E-Mail Address: Trump2020@10DowningSt.gov.uk; Phone Number: 0800-2DRUNK2CARE. The establishment she works expects its patrons to take the track and trace information seriously.

And then there are those arrogant folks who enter a convenience store, supermarket, etc., without wearing a mask because "they're exempt due to an underlying medical condition." Yeah, sure. Where's the note from their doctor or the NHS that states this? Anyone can say this.

So yeah, after months of following the COVID-19 prevention guidelines, it wears people down.

But as the saying goes, this is how the enemy wins. Complacency sets in and the pandemic rises again. It's no wonder this country's government is considering another lockdown in many parts of the nation, what will be known as a "circuit break." If it's not launched, or if people are given in to smugness or even braggadocio, then COVID-19 will spike again and the situation will be exacerbated as the usual flu cases appear when the winter season approaches.

We will then have a twindemic to worry about. :cry

Well roll up get your flu jab's all for it so should everyone who can get one.
As to medical conditions we all have them so live and let live if you can ware a mask do so.
These regulations on peoples information are not like the data protection act people have been contacted by other business and even scammers by leaving contact details even the first minister of Scotland said people are using the virus as an opportunity for gain.
