Royal Mail Postman/Woman/ Driving Interview
Hi all, I am new to this forum, I have been successful in getting an interview with Roayl Mail, what would I expect on the day, questions, how many interviewers etc? You help is very much appreciated. I will endeavour to post my interview experience on here, no matter what the outcome.

Good luck in your interview, from your POV and with my own hindsight I would ensure I ask these questions:Simonbudworth79 wrote:Hi all, I am new to this forum, I have been successful in getting an interview with Roayl Mail, what would I expect on the day, questions, how many interviewers etc? Will my existing holiday commitments be honoured? - If you join halfway through the holiday year (Apr to end of March roughly), you will probably find it a nightmare
to get holidays once you are in if you haven't advised the interviewing manager, because the current years leave slots were allocated late last year.
Will I definitely get a rotating day off? - Unless you are given your own round straight away, you might be moved from round to round and
you will find you repeatedly get Tuesdays off and very few Saturdays.
Be aware that managers expect you to be 'flexible' - what this means in practice is that although the job advert stated 0900 - 1600 (or similar)
if the workload is heavy and is likely to take you past 1600, the management will expect you to complete the delivery (although it is possible
to stick to your guns and work till 1600 if that's what's in your contract (not the same as the job advert!) - but expect a 'discussion' about it!
