Occupational sick pay

Post by Bridgeman »

I am self isolating as others in my household are awaiting covid test results. I've only been a postman for 10 months or so. Am I entitled to any sort of sick pay. Received confusing letter from manager today

From the 1st August, you unfortunately will not be paid.
What does the letter say?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Sorry don't actually have my letter with me. I was back to work today and left it in my frame. Im on a 24hr contract, when I got my payslip today I was paid for 4hrs 48mins, I take that was for today ( mustn't have got paid for bank holiday monday), I got £19.78 sick pay (???) And delivery supplement for one day, got a bit of a tax rebate. Am I entitled to any sort of government sick pay or so. Will need toget one of the managers to explain it to me tomorrow
