Would RM consider a driver with a DD conviction 6 years ago?
Most posties start on non-driving duties anyway. We all have to go through conversion training (A 4-hour driving assessment)
As to the DD conviction, it would depend on many factors so its hard to say authoritatively. However, if you broke any ban, or have been convicted more than once then I don't think they would. Caught once, copped for it, served any ban with no problems and being honest in the interview - they MAY disregard the conviction.
Even when in the job a DD conviction and whether you keep the job or not depends on the context around the offence. At my office, at least 1 postie kept his job but there were non-driving duties available for him to do, whilst another was sacked because he tried to keep it quiet.
