Job just gets better- Collections whilst on Delivery

So when i cut off which do i leave. Part of my duty or the collections.
You'll leave mail. These 'Consumer Collections', your Collections on Delivery, all Tracked and all Specials will take precedence over everything else because they'll give almost immediate data on failures that senior managers love to collect and use as metrics to judge performance.

Don’t worry when they take large parcels off delivery offices and only have letter delivery 5 days a week you will have plenty of time. So much time that they might not need you so will make you redundant or part time. You won’t ever go over your time but you might not be able to pay your bills either. Would you moaning lot be happy then?

The peanut gallery have all descended on this thread it would seem. But blocking too many of them makes the thread seem disjointed.
Decisions, decisions.

So would you prefer to deliver 2 hours worth of letters and just get rid of all the parcels and collections to our competitors? How long do you think the business would last doing things like in the old days?

Im sorry that the human race has different needs since the 80s ands 90s and that you havent come along with it, but like it or not change always happens, if its not for you then you need to go get a job with someone else im afraid.

Where the hell is this time coming from exactly? It’s disgraceful how the CWU have just randomly agreed to this without asking for delivery’s to be re-planned to account for the time taken.
Oh and as someone has already mentioned this will only add more work to the drivers which is unfair.
So when i cut off which do i leave. Part of my duty or the collections.
Ask the DOM, it's then their problem
yup

Little scope for recriminations from the screws if you work as directed and let the clueless f***ers show their ignorance

A bit ironic moaning about people moaning
Not wrong though is he , it’s people that have been in the job 20/30 years that can’t accept change . I’ve always thought lots of posties would struggle out there in the real world , it’s comical .
It,s down to" Seniority " when you have 20 / 30 Years Service , you have passed your "Apprenticeship" , You are more able to pick the Duty , Hour,s , Leave Etc that you want , you don,t want to go back to being " Spare "

Im just really annoyed with people saying the job is rubbish, this is wrong, that is wrong etc. Find me a job where someone without any formal qualifications can earn over a tenner an hour and have sick pay, holiday pay etc etc,and enjoy what they are doing.

NO job is perfect, Every boss in the country want staff to do as much as possible, or at the very least work every hour that they get paid for.

Go and spend a week at Argos or Amazon and see how happy the staff they have are. Yes i know we should be aiming to 'be better' than them but to achieve that you need a successful profitable business to begin with.

Or somebody with formal qualifications. I myself studied and earned an M.Un. masters degree, a highly distinguished honor.
