So when i cut off which do i leave. Part of my duty or the collections.toonshola wrote:So a maximum of 5 pick ups a day. Doesn’t sound much but by the time you have faffed on walking round back gardens to collect out a shed this could maybe add 20/30 mins to a delivery. Where the hell is this time coming from exactly? It’s disgraceful how the CWU have just randomly agreed to this without asking for delivery’s to be re-planned to account for the time taken.
Oh and as someone has already mentioned this will only add more work to the drivers which is unfair.

Its strange the PDAs tell managers we have time the posties say we dont. The company is full of people who complain about doing their job most of them are lifers who have no idea how the real world works try telling a manager im not doing that outside of the RM and you have no job, its something i hear all the time im not doing that walk ill go sick im not knocking next door taking a safeplace picture not got time to pick up a packet or collect from a box cant get the week off i want im going sick. The union have got us good terms the workers are doing their best to lose them by abusing them.

5 collections is just sugar coating it so it doesn't seem that bad. 5 will turn into 10 then in 20.

If it means we have full time jobs then i dont care, not long ago it was AV and SD addressee only that were going to take to much time next door and safeplace was going to take to long, if we dont compete we dont have jobs the sooner we get that into our heads the better. PDAs will tell the managers who has time to do what, there is the problem the ones with the time do not want to work to time.glass joe wrote:5 collections is just sugar coating it so it doesn't seem that bad. 5 will turn into 10 then in 20.

why would i want to walk away with 20+ years of service in my back pocket ? , i paid my cwu subs and i have supported the cwu with everything there have asked for , start on my time , take my meal breaks , use the equipment everyday , and i work my hours and take stuff back , BUT r/m will get all they wanted ( ricos plan ) and they might offer a golden carrot to get this , and then the cwu will tell everybody this is a good deal , and they will be a s**t load of jobs to go on top of this , but we will seebillycat wrote:Life is about choices if your not happy for the CWU to try and work on our behalf to secure jobs and maintain our excellent working conditions compared to other companies leave, there are plenty more people desperate for a job , as numerous posters keep telling the hard done by posties like myself we have a start and finish time use them or book extended delivery, we would all like a shorter working week and a pay rise , but with the current situation surely we must be grateful for a job, the CWU will come to an agreement with royal mail regarding no compulsory redundancies, at the office I work at the people that do the most moaning are the bone idle, I even asked somebody to stop moaning as he was depressing everybody and for the benefit of his own health he should look for another job, his reply to me was who would employ him.

Its called change we either compete or die the PDA data does not lie lots of us have time to collect packets on route the ones that dont have time need to be helped by the ones that do, of course they are the problem they do not want to work to time they would rather park up for 30 mins then help ive seen it and nothing happens to them because they are senior staff.worktotime wrote:why would i want to walk away with 20+ years of service in my back pocket ? , i paid my cwu subs and i have supported the cwu with everything there have asked for , start on my time , take my meal breaks , use the equipment everyday , and i work my hours and take stuff back , BUT r/m will get all they wanted ( ricos plan ) and they might offer a golden carrot to get this , and then the cwu will tell everybody this is a good deal , and they will be a s**t load of jobs to go on top of this , but we will seebillycat wrote:Life is about choices if your not happy for the CWU to try and work on our behalf to secure jobs and maintain our excellent working conditions compared to other companies leave, there are plenty more people desperate for a job , as numerous posters keep telling the hard done by posties like myself we have a start and finish time use them or book extended delivery, we would all like a shorter working week and a pay rise , but with the current situation surely we must be grateful for a job, the CWU will come to an agreement with royal mail regarding no compulsory redundancies, at the office I work at the people that do the most moaning are the bone idle, I even asked somebody to stop moaning as he was depressing everybody and for the benefit of his own health he should look for another job, his reply to me was who would employ him.

I suppose it all depends on who is analysing the data and the desired results from said data. In RM, the computer rarely says nocpsteve wrote: Its called change we either compete or die the PDA data does not lie lots of us have time to collect packets on route

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

We either adapt, or die. You may end up with five to do; you'll more likely end up with none some of the time. It's a service virtually every other courier offer, we have no option but do the same. We can continue to cry about the fact post is dying, or attempt to minimise the impact by raising revenue elsewhere. If you have to leave a loop for five extra collections, take it from me, collections are easier than pounding the beat.

Not wrong though is he , it’s people that have been in the job 20/30 years that can’t accept change . I’ve always thought lots of posties would struggle out there in the real world , it’s comical .P13 wrote:A bit ironic moaning about people moaningnumber one wrote:Listen to all the moaning fools.
