Holiday people atempting to work when should be quarantining

What monitoring or disciplinary procedures are in place to catch those who have taken or attempt to take holidays to a uk quarantine destination and then attempt to attend work during the 14 quarantine period upon their return?
If we are to be "covid Safe" then this would be a serious disciplinary offence given the potential to infect other colleagues. And also a criminal offence in uk law.

Here is the list of countries that are exempt from uk 14 day quarantine

As you can see there are some very large popular countries that are not on the list that people will be travelling too this summer

Royal Mail cannot enforce quarenteen period on people coming from Holidays unless the person does a test and it becomes positive for covid.

Anyone who's on a stage 2 is bound to come in instead of quarantining, they don't want to risk being sacked

Fairly sure quarantining is law...and not optional. Quarantine is in place for a reason. Covid-19 kills people and is highly infectious. Any sacking as a result of quarantining would be unfair and unjust...and quite frankly I can't see Royal Mail taking such drastic sanctions...unless travel was to a forbidden country on the government's list prior to your departure ?

The 14 day quarantine is law, having a covid test is not a short cut to avoid having to complete it. Even if you test negative full quarantine still has to be completed to allow for incubation as you may test too early and be lulled into a false sence of security that you are ok. Testing positive means 10 days of isolation from when symtpoms started and not going to work until day 11 if fever free for at least 48 hours

spoke to a mate last week (not a postie) and he said a bloke come back after 2 weeks leave quite browner & chunkier than before but said he'd not been abroad, though everyone knew he had, other than grassing him up what can they do?
daft thing is i could spend a weekend in manchester and stand a far greater chance of catching covid than 2 weeks in lanzarote
just remember to stay home save lives & protect the nhs, except on mon/tue/wed in august when the virus is asleep

What if he had been in Greece or Turkey which was and still is for the time being fine to go on holiday to?

EDIT - oh he denied being abroad at all....hmm

I’m going to the New Forest but will still be quarantining. I’ll go on a sunbed and say I’ve been to Spain. Can’t stand the job any more
