Has anyone had experience of having a hernia and whether it's advisable to try working through till you get a date for an op or to take sick leave until the op and recovery period afterwards?
I had inguinal hernia a few years back , worked up till op then had six weeks off to recover , and came back on light duties for two weeks. Don't rush back to early make the most of it.
