Fraternal greetings to all fellow workers employed by Royal Mail. I have been a postman since 1980. I am a member of the Industrial Workers of the World, I.U 560 (Communications Workers). In 27 years I have seen our conditions get better (40 hour week, five days) because we have fought for them, certainly not because Royal Mail have handed them to us. Lately, I have seen them get worse (longer Saturdays', heavier deliveries, lack of basic equipment, heavy handed and inept management, later start times etc, etc). Plenty of us complain about the CWU, and there is a lot to complain about, but if push comes to shove, let's support the CWU and argue with the leadership later.
Vote YES and let's stick it to the parasites with their lottery win bonuses they've never earned.
Solidarity Forever.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Thanks for the welcome comrades. The IWW have a discussion list and I'll certainly mention it on there. The IWW is small, but is always supportive of those engaged in the class struggle.
