They've sure done a good job of scaring people on this forum that's for sure, frighten people enough and they'll submit to anything. I take most things I read or hear with a pinch of salt.
Regards.

What's the bet you take huge amounts of salt when you agree with outrageous conspiracy theories. Let's hope your comments are only being satirical like Brent Terhune's, otherwise if you're being serious it'll be to win the Darwin Award. :Very Happy

The naïve folks in the UK might admire this fool: Georgia State Gov. [Brian Kemp] Explicitly Voids Mask Orders in 15 Localities
Associated Press (July 14, 2020) - Georgia’s Gov. Brian Kemp is explicitly banning Georgia’s cities and counties from ordering people to wear masks in public places. He voided orders on Wednesday that at least 15 local governments across the state had adopted even though Kemp had earlier said cities and counties had no power to order masks.
[...] But the trend of deaths has since been rising, following upward trends in cases and hospitalizations that began in early June. Georgia is now averaging 24 deaths over the past week, the highest level in nearly four weeks.

As from tomorrow all callers offices require a face mask on.The worker/s in the office are required to wear one whilst serving. All members of public must wear one when collecting.
All signs telling you to wear a mask are now posted on the doors.

And where did you get that nugget of information.
It seems to contradict this:
Customer Service Points/Callers Offices are classified as shops for the purposes of this guidance and therefore all customers using these facilities have needed to wear a face covering/mask from the 10 July Scotland and from 24 July will need to wear a face covering/mask in England.

It is not mandatory for Royal Mail Group employees who work in CSPs to wear a face covering/mask.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

There are 2 new LTB's in the 'Coronavirus forum', I suggest you guys read them.
Clash has already posted about callers office.

Rule of thumb, if you have shops on your round take one with you, when you are due to go into shops/businesses quickly put one on, do your stuff then take it off.
It's not hard.

You 'could' be refused from entering various shops/premises.
But possibly the poor staff/security guards wont want the aggro.
Obviously it could vary from place to place.
If you have an illness or similar etc and you can't wear one then politely inform whoever as you go in/get a managers note?

....common sense....?

Managers in England and Scotland should ensure their teams are aware of the mandatory guidance when delivering or collecting mail.

From Friday 24th July it will be mandatory to wear a face covering when entering shops throughout England, as it has been in Scotland since 10th July. This includes when going into Post Offices.(Wales where it is currently recommended but will become mandatory from 27 July.)

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I would suspect with 17 million masks in stock or on order the business has plans for more widespread use of face masks.

Just a guess though....

How many staff does RM have (RM + PF excluding GLS) across all sites and functions (management and non-management)?

Leaving aside the obvious crude comments.....

I thought you weren't supposed to fiddle with the covering and had to wash your hands in between taking it on/off?
