Half way through 2 year serious offence

Left box key in pillar box , totally distracted by domestic serious phone call , member of public reported it thankfully and key was recovered by another royal mail driver , no excuses , my fault but I am 1 year into a 2 year serious offence which was a H@S issue , totally unrelated to this issue , any thoughts please , cheers
