Either your DOM has been misinformed or is just making stuff up I reckon. What’s the point in social distancing in the office to then send out 75% of the office sat 12 inches apart in a van? Shared van is gone until social distancing is gone I think.

Funny how looking at your previous posts youve been constantly saying 'van sharing will be back next month/when we are wearing masks'HA1 wrote:Been told today 2 in a van will be back W/C 13/07

The question is why?

You know it's bullshit by the second part of the statement.HA1 wrote:Been told today 2 in a van will be back W/C 13/07

Masks can't be optional because they're mainly effective in protecting other people.
How can one person in a van share decide how much danger they put the other person in?

2 IN A VAN AGAIN?
If there has not been a NATIONAL decision to van share again then anyone doing it will risk suspension / dismissal as such a decision will obviously have to risk assessed based on current information, stats etc.
Remember, there are plenty of employees in all of our towns who work at different offices, most of whom we only know exist through posting their payslip through their letterbox! You never know who is observing you!

After however how long our absorption/lapsing is fully back next week. Can't imagine van sharing being that far behind...
I saw the rota for next week and upon seeing walks designated as 'absorption', all I said to our DOM was 'optimistic'.

Ok they can do revisions with duties that have later start times, you will get to pick one if you're far enough down the seniority list or part time more than likelyCucumber wrote:Why would they buy/lease more vans when their current fleet sit there for 60-70% of the time doing nothing between 7am-8pm?citypostie wrote:If they manage to get rid of 1 in 6 deliveries it should free up enough cash to get the extra vans so we canwork by ourselves. It's a fact that most people get round quicker working by themselves as well so they will probably get rid of a few more duties to split between everyone

I think that's what they will do but RM will probably want it done on "skills" rather than seniority which will cause lots of issuescitypostie wrote:Ok they can do revisions with duties that have later start times, you will get to pick one if you're far enough down the seniority list or part time more than likelyCucumber wrote:Why would they buy/lease more vans when their current fleet sit there for 60-70% of the time doing nothing between 7am-8pm?citypostie wrote:If they manage to get rid of 1 in 6 deliveries it should free up enough cash to get the extra vans so we canwork by ourselves.
