That very suspicious, why do they close so soon after the ballot has closed?

Makes me wonder if it was set up for the strike?

Has it being going long?

Iv'e just come over from postman chat as it's closed. I'm not a scab or a a manager as most of them weren't on the forum. The majority were for the strike and say they voted NO to the deal.

Looks like they had other things to do. Far enough - lot of work running a forum. I run an aviation one and it uses all the hours I have free!

I used to use that forum aswell as this, been a postie and in the union since 1990 and never crossed a picket line but somthing doesn't ring true here, surely if you'd built up a well populated forum you wouldn't just stop it with no notice? maybe you'd announce your intentions and ask for somone else to run the forum instead.

Talking to someone today about this and anyone who has ever run a forum will tell you how much time it takes up. I'm sure Postman will vouch for that.

Nah, consipracy theories will no doubt spring up but time is the bggest factor in running one. Its easy for a poster to drift in and out but the person running a forum ends up 24/7

If they are sensible they will spread the workload around and say have about five moderaters or perhaps seven, with one taking one day a week.

I used PostManChat since Feb 2007, it went through several changes. Twice the site collapsed, think it might have been sabotaged, but managed to re-incarnate itself. Was a lot less militant than this site. After the last re-incarnation with a change of host server, it seemed to be more pro-RM. The Admin guy intimated he had connections to top RM officials, so it might seem he was used as a propaganda tool. Lots of posters on PMC commented on his stance of not allowing any views to be expressed that didn't agree with his.
