COVID test kit collections from the public

Anyone got the details about us collecting COVID19 test kits from the public to return to the labs/test centres? Heard it was starting this week coming?

Was supposed to start on Tues but first day will now be Wed.

Some offices are making p/t staff upto temp f/t by them collecting kits in morning and then doing their walks later.

Other offices have people coming in on their off to cover the CV19 routes. If they cant get anyone to do it, posties will be taken off their walk to cover the CV19 duty as it has priority over mail delivery.

Its a 7 days a week operation so needs to be covered every day.

Also few more LTB'S and SSOW's in this search, see the various LTB'S on the subject.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

First two days have been really easy. Had 9 collections on Wednesday and 4 today. The hard part is trying not to contaminate your van keys and door handles after handling them.

Took a turn of it today and only had 3 calls with 8 kits to collect.

Just a shame we get made to do parcels / bits of walks after we've dragged out the test kit collection for as long as we can.

I've been doing this for a couple of weeks now while I'm on light duties for a bad back. I don't mind doing it, but I covered 112 miles and went to 15 'calls' on Monday which took 4 and a half hours.

I’m expecting my test kit tomorrow as I have symptoms, does anyone know if test kits are collected on Saturdays?
