wishful thinking. Its never going to happen. Been like it for years. Hopefully though , people on rounds that come in early and manage to run round and finish early ,will get more heaped on them. They deserve it, everybody with any sense been telling them for yrs not to do it. It would serve them right.

It's people on impossible to do on time rounds, that come in 15 mins early (it's only 15 mins.......) yeah, right ,add it up over a year; who run round 'have no time for breaks' and then complain !! These are the ones who really baffle me, it's illogical. How are revisions gonna even things up when there's people like this and management (of course) turn a blind eye to it. Then the reserve does it correctly, comes in early, works at a reasonable pace and takes all the breaks and gets questioned (bullied) by the manager when they tell them how late they are gonna be or how much they are leaving if working their hrs.

What's the point in doing any revisions now? We've no idea how much of the extra packet, Tracked and SD workload will end up being permanent.

On paper, our revision is done and dusted. Just waiting for a suitable time to bring it in apparently.
It's been shared with the union but, not unusually for my office, they're not willing to share any details.

This. As for evening up walks its impossible i work with people who can do any walk at least 30mins quicker then i can if you load work onto them then if i had to do it it would not be done. The early start no break posties who make it harder for all of us will not change unless they are sent out to help late finishers or do other tasks when they return, im not sure thats fair either to get done early they are working hard.

I totally agree its impossible for rounds to be equal as every postie is different,my reserves for my round (hct)are twenty and even thirty years younger than me and do not have major health problems,so basically they finish a lot earlier,so you have to find a balance or get rid of us older guys and keep all the robot runners(which i think is rm s aim)

I wish they were evened up but they never will be.

There’s an absolute monster round here, when we were allowed to park and loop the duty holder would often come in an hour and a half early. On some days (Tuesdays, Saturdays and the occasional other day) she gets done early, managers are fine with it as she doesn’t book OT on the other days. So, 6.30 start time, gets out at 9, finishes 2.30.

All well and good till someone like me comes in at 8, gets out at 10.30 and finishes gone 4pm. You then get the ‘Miss Early can get done on time, why can’t you.’

It just creates problems for everyone else.

There are some rounds here where you don’t even have to wheel your york round, you just tuck the handful of packets under your arm or in a tray. Meanwhile the round next to it can have 2 yorks full to the top which can take 45mins to sort through.

Anyway to answer the original question, no revisions here.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

If revisions meant the rounds were evened up AND we clocked in & out so that people actuallyy worked to their hours, then I would be all for it.

Q. Can anyone tell me what the (official) difference is between a full-time round and a part-time round please ?

spoke to my DOM about this yesterday apparently Planners are due in in around 4 weeks from now with an eye for a September revision completion date.
everything will be 1 in 6, no nine day fortnight, wallington, 1 in 4 etc will be allowed.

gonna happen in every office and pretty soon, RM will push through with it.

personally I can't wait for it to happen, 9 day FN walks get away with murder in our office, early finishes compared what they are supposed to do, people on normal lwalks finish almost on their time and get sent out again to clear the office, 9DFN come back and every thing is cleared so they get to go home early doors.

Given RM's experience now with having duties at every office deliver in the afternoon, I wonder if they might look at expanding the number of LAT hubs, maybe even have 1 maybe 2 LAT duties at every DO
