That's pretty black and white. You'll get 25 hours worth as you're only getting FT with booking overtime.

It’s not quite black and white to me though, I struggle with a lot of the terminology like scheduled attendance which still doesn’t make sense to me, pressure overtime, meal relief (what’s wrong with simply ‘break’), WTL (call it training like 99.99% of businesses do), PHG, OPG, BFG. I often find Royal Mail use real gobbledygook terminology when I wish they’d just put it in simple terms.

PHG doesn't exist, that grade was axed over 10 years ago. I've never heard of BFG

i cant wait for the full timers to run round get back two hours early and be sent back out again to help a part timer, roll on the clocking in machines

I think youlle find most of us f timers cant run round at all nowadays lol this ft / pt divide is as bad as the driver/walker divide . The royal mail must love this . End of the day youve got your contracted part time hours , same with ft do them and go home to your normal life. ( not normal at mo i know) .

If you're using military analogies surely those self-isolating had already taken a bullet and those that made it through the war unscathed were the lucky few.

I mean what exactly was the danger out there? Surely it was catching the virus, having the virus, self-isolating with the virus?

Unless you think the payment was for the extra workload in which case rurals and business duties should really get bugger all if we're being honest.

Why would a rural duty have less workload ? The rurals in our office are rammed.

I isolated right at the beginning of this as I has symptoms, having only returned from Spain the week before, and I was ill, really ill but alas I was not important enough to get a test so will probably never know if i had 'it', my better half isolated with me, as they also work for the business this means we will lose 2x for doing what we should, is it fair, probably not, will I lose sleep over it, probably not, it is what it is

Relax it was just an attempt to show how ridiculous it is to try to judge who does and doesn't "deserve" to be recognised by this payment.
It should have been paid to everyone equally even if that meant dropping it to £150.
We're supposed to be in this together.

Of course everyone should have got the full bonus, were still working through this pandemic now and will be for a good while yet . Its not about the bonus amount its the way its been done , and once again its divided us .

Tbh as a f/t never finished 2 hours before my time in my life.even when I was younger would love to see the walks that do

A) The union aren't paying it, Royal Mail are.
B) I very much doubt the union had any input into the decision bearing in mind they've just asked half a dozen questions about how it's going to work.

senior full timers wont get first pick,senior people part time or full get first pick by seniority no discrimination allowed .
