I see complaints when they are missed then, not enough staff to cover sorting as it is, taking another person off to look for these items will cause further delays.SpacePhoenix wrote:They'll have to be done in the DO. If the deadline for in-flight redirections is 4am, a few k of Tracked will have already been scanned. You don't have to look for them, they are automatically flagged when they are scanned as 'ready for delivery' in the DO.A2B wrote:I see complaints when they are missed then, not enough staff to cover sorting as it is, taking another person off to look for these items will cause further delays.SpacePhoenix wrote:They'll have to be done in the DO. There is an issue with someone being needed to sort through the ones that are to be retained or redirected, which may take an hour or so once things are up and running. But actual sorting just needs another three yorks to hurl them into (one for retentions, one for redeliveries within the office area, one for redeliveries outside the office area) - presuming your RfD scans are done in the IPS that is. If they're done at the fitting then it'd actually be just like dpoing normal redirections.

That was my point if your office is already working to capacity (pre COVID) then where does this person with the magic hour come from at your busiest time of day?DGH wrote:You don't have to look for them, they are automatically flagged when they are scanned as 'ready for delivery' in the DO.A2B wrote:I see complaints when they are missed then, not enough staff to cover sorting as it is, taking another person off to look for these items will cause further delays.SpacePhoenix wrote:They'll have to be done in the DO. Without a doubt it's useful, if controversial. It's definitely a step in the right direction, albeit a belated one.
Helps a heck of a heap when you've dibbed something. But what would help even more is if the notification didn't flash off and disappear as soon as you clicked back into Outdoor to redeliver it.
I had a notification the other day that I only redelivered because it was the only dib I had.
