So on the news today, one of the main headlines was the breakdown of Covid-19 deaths.

It turns out that over a quarter of the deaths are people with diabetes.

I wonder now, if diabetics will be classed as 'High Risk' instead of just 'Vulnerable' and qualify for a 12 Week Lett or its equivalent?

And will the business/RM start treating those employees as such instead of harassing them into going to work?

That absolutely should have been from the start. This info was coming out of China before it even took off here but for some reason the Govt decided not to include them.

They focused on asthma and respiratory problems which totally makes sense.

But yeah, bit late now.

Plenty of deaths.

Let's wait and see what changes are made based on this breaking news.....

There have been some crazy things happening such as NHS staff that are pregnant or have underlying conditions being allowed or cajoled into staying at work which have led to unnecessary deaths.
Some of the information in the Sky news report was a bit conflicted and the percentages for which age groups are more at risk didn't make any sense. There is a tendency to avoid causing any offence so the amount of information given out has to be tempered somewhat. It is highly likely people with type two diabetes are more at risk than type one given it's already known that people that are obese are more likely to die if they catch the virus.
