Do we need to maintain re-delivery for parcels?
We should aim to re-deliver items on the day selected, but if that’s not possible we should re-deliver as soon as possible.

shouldn't most people be in at the first attempted delivery anyway.

In my opinion, one free redelivery is fine but some people take the mickey and still not home, I had 3-4 attempts at redelivery lots of times.

They should be charged after first redelivery attempt.

They should only get one re-del attempt for free, as per rules, I refuse to take any packets that the phg tries to offload on me after the first re-del attempt.

I have found it worse with knowing that people are in, because you now have to wait for them to answer, I see then through the window still playing that PlayStation or viewing the phone, one knock & my half complete 739 & I’m usually gone, I did lose it with one yesterday, I could hear his TV on, I knew he was in, about a hour later he was waiting by the van with his 739, can’t see him reporting me, but I gave him some home truths

This happened to me the other week. Three attempts to get rid of one packet.

Don't get any back up in our office. Customer is always right etc.

i had 1 last week, 4th attempt,2nd by me, i'd written & posted the 739 out and knew they were home as i could see & hear them through their rear window and all in the back garden,
i'm not usually this vindictive and yes it would have been quicker to walk around the back, but i quickly jumped in the van and sped off, some things just tits you off especially when you're battered with parcels of no urgency in the current climate and they can't be arsed to keep the music down to hear a knock at the door

I had a redelivery that the customer had complained that I hadn't knocked on the first attempt - I had.

Went back with it yesterday, near enough the same time as my first attempt which was on the P739 and he was sat on his exercise bike, headphones on, singing at the top of his voice.......

think it used to be 2 re-attempts but now believe its unlimited as standard

I debunk the flat earth occasionally, its a mad hobby, but you have the same approach as my opponents do. Make a statement then don't back it up.

As far as I know, there is no limit, during normal times when they keep items for 18 days and need 48 hours to arrange redelivery that would make 3 or 4 attempts before it was returned to sender.

I also used to enjoy debunking flat earthers but I came to the conclusion they are mentally ill so stopped doing it.

Anyway. We have told the customer we will keep their parcels for 18 days so we will redeliver up to that point. I get a little sense of satisfaction putting that dead sticker alongside the three or four redelivery stickers.
