Shift managers briefing all shifts that a night worker as tested positive for covid 19 and as or still is in hospital in in intensive care.. managers being very evasive information wise..
No deep clean...

No surprise about the managers response, hope they pull through.

I guess everyone in close contact with the postie should book themselves in for a test/self isolate?

one of the lads was wearing a mask indoors and out as well. so that turned out to be a waste of time.

Top managers are keeping everything under wraps.. they expect you to believe that he as not been in the building since early April.. but they will not confirm his name or work area so how will you know if you have worked with him or not., also social distancing is ridiculous even if you have not worked with or near him there are break areas....toilets etc...there is no chance they will shut a mail centre to deep clean... yes what are the higher up union reps doing..

Lad that died at ours. Claimed he hadn’t been in building for 3 weeks. Fair enough but he was in hospital 2 1/2. Hope your colleague pulls through

Masks only help to stop the infected person spreading. So it only works if everyone wears one.

I know someone in the hospital wearing the full ppe and still got it, its highly contagious and defo needs a deep clean and everyone tested ,but knowing Royal Mail this won't happen,if found to be negligent and someone dies where is this going to lead. If no deep clean your well within your rights under health and safety law not to enter if you feel its unsafe.

Second confirmed case at Manchester MC. Tested 5 May, Confirmed 7 May. Last worked on late shift 24 April.
