Usually it's best not to have a knee jerk reaction but in this instance a knee jerk reaction is exactly what is required. If we don't strike or at least call for a work to rule them we can say goodbye to paid sick leave and everything else further down the road. Most postie's are too concerned with upsetting their customers or Joe Public, they aren't YOUR customers they are Royal Mail's customers and Joe Public won't give a s**t if you lose your job as long as they get their tat off fleabay. Very poor leadership from Ward and Pullinger and definitely the weakest leaders the CWU have ever had.

A "work to rule" would almost certainly require a separate ballot. In any case chances are that either RM would go to court and get any strike blocked or the government would block a strike

People really don’t get it do they - we can’t strike can we - unless you think:
1. The previous ballot is valid for this; and
2. An injunction will not be awarded
