Will letters still be sent to the DO,s on Saturday to be sorted or will they arrive on the following Monday morning.

The detail of the RM requirement still requires Signed For letters to be delivered on a Saturday, so if that's going to happen
then the mail has got to be sent to the DO AND sorted surely....??

I’m gunna predict an angry Pullinger rant followed by 5 days of radio silence. CWU have been played by Royal Mail for the last 2 years and it’s become clear they have no response to anything apart from the patronising BS national postal workers day. Worrying times all round.

Half the time it's like he's doing an audition for EastEnders. Actually, more than half the time lol.

Not really getting what this means. Surely would have been better to just work Mon to Fri full stop. No packets on Saturday even, then in a time of big absence, you would have near enough full staff as you would have 1/6 more as in Dec? So, what is actually happening? Are we still having our rotation days off as normal, but if you're in work on Saturday , you just get a mega flyer? Just delivering packets?
Anyone have any clarity on what is actually happening?
If we are working Mon to Fri in our office on the daily hrs, that's 38hrs21 mins so that will need to be added on to our annual leave allocation, as we won't be doing the shorter weeks to average it out.

it basically means 40000 people have just lost their jobs. Duty holder will work from mon-sat and take sat out as overtime.

If I'm working Mon to Fri I sure as hell aren't coming in on Saturday on overtime!!!!

My office, which has a majority of HCT duties, is fully staffed at the moment and, despite some sickness over the past few weeks, we have yet to fail a delivery. I can understand that restricting letter deliveries being a valid proposition in areas where there is a backlog of parcels, but it seems like madness to deliberately offer a worse service than we in our office can currently provide - unless of course there is an ulterior motive on the management's part.
