Guys/Gals its not all doom and gloom, remember do the job correct and RM can't touch you or they could be facing a claim off unfair dismissal. You also have Health and Safety rules.

when they give all the extra work to the dumb n dumber greyhounds they can cover the cutoffs,sick and leave and do all the failed packets

been telling them since job and finish that being paid 8 hrs and doing 5 (in some cases) wont last and it will come back and bite yer in the ass and doing ghost overtime and still going home before most of us

watch em try to slow down and start whinging when it was (most) of em who voted yes and they put trackers in the vans and clock us in and out

I guess we have to allow room for some members who took the yes vote so badly - its a blow to many but in my view not a reason to go on and on about it. It doesn't help us now. I remarked on this yesterday and got the same ridiculous replies from colleagues who should know better. We face complete closure where I work and 600 jobs wiped out or else relocated some 30 miles away. I've stood on the picket line at every opportunity AND been on numerous marches this year to help save our jobs both locally and nationally and seen little or no support for our mail centre closure from other branches and even less on here which to my mind says much about so called comradeship. RMC gave some sense of togetherness during the strikes but with the vote dead in the water and almost every thread becoming an opportunity to label other members as strike breakers or managers, I have to question its credibility. If I'd known what I know now, I think I'd have voted with the rest of my workmates who when it comes down to it, are a good bunch.

I have to accept that its difficult to moderate forums I suppose but this site doesn't seem to know where it is at any given time. The emphasis one minute is on getting rid of Leighton and Crozier and at other times its some kind of wacky accusation crusade because you face doesn't fit or you're not a born and bred militant. I'm sure there ARE RM bods on here and that may account for paranioa from some but at times I feel certain individuals on here make sweeping assumptions that are not only unproductive - they're downright insulting to those that genunely put in the time to fight against this deal. Theres not much point in attempting to stick to the rules if its a free-for-all in threads - total waste of time.

What sickens me is all the blame that seems to fly around as to who voted YES - even suggesting that lists are compiled - what point will THAT serve??? We should be sticking together, not providing amusement for hideaway DOMs. Sure I'm upset at the result but that takes nothing away from the pride I feel in standing up for what I think is right and not act like some spoilt baby because things haven't gone my way. We still have local issues to tackle AND pensions and if we can't stick together even in the aftermath of the vote, what hope is there????

Whether you agree with that is your affair, but I'm certainly not blanking workmates because they didn't vote NO. Its THEIR choice and at the end of the day I still have to work with them and whether I'm comfortable with it or not, I have to respect the choice they made. It doesn't matter what office you work in, local spirit is essential and work or not, we do support each other in our office on a range of things including personal difficulties etc etc. Thats what friends are for and the job is only a job at the end of the day.
