Where do they propose the masks come from when AFAIK there's a worldwide shortage?

There's a shortage of clinical grade face masks.
We will no doubt be using a P739 and two elastic bands.

I thought Burberry had taken on the role as chief supplier of all things medical.
When/if this is all over those Burberry gowns are going to fetch a fortune on ebay.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

What happens when out on delivery your need a drink? You would be constantly fiddling with the mask largely defeating the object of wearing it. Even drinking while out on delivery gets me worried anyway. I doubt using some sanitizer before handling the bottle is 100% guarantee!
And if this summer turns out to be as hot as the last few hydration will definitely become an issue!

There's no way I could wear any kind of mask or face covering for 7-8 hours, especially in warm humid summer weather, I have inflamed sinuses which means I already have restricted breathing through my nasal passages, wearing a mask I'd literally feel like I was suffocating.

Nope not for me I'm afraid... the air outside has never been as fresh & healthy with an 80% reduction in traffic. The one's at the office are 'pound shop' style as well, very flimsy, uncomfortable and hot to have over your face for any length of time. I'll wear in the office and it's off when I'm outdoors.

I saw a women the other day that had made a see through face "Visor" out of one of those Clear Page Inserts that you put in files.... held in place with a bit of elastic around her head..... Great idea but every time the wind blew it uncovered her face. :cuppa

It just goes to prove that you can't please "All the Posties All of the Time". A few weeks ago we had Posties complaining that they couldn't get Masks...... Now that we've been supplied with them, and it may "MAY" become compulsory to wear them (Remember it's just a Newspaper Story) ......... we have Posties preparing their reasons for Not Wearing them.

I acknowledge that RMC is a Discussion Forum but I hope it doesn't turn into a Posties Face Book where everyone starts posting every random report, and rumour, I switched off Face Book when CV started, and my Mental State is much happier for it. Lets wait to hear what the "Official" Government, Royal Mail & CWU policy is before we start getting stressed about it shall we? :cuppa
