I'm a grass pollen hayfever sufferer and it's gonna be hell. Wouldn't be able to wear masks as nose runs continually. May have to go off work as no way will I be able not to touch face as always wiping nose.

Tree pollen ruins me and this week’s been especially awful, I’ve actually found wearing a mask helpful as it’s seemed to keep the pollen out.

Never go without sunglasses even on a dull day. It does keep the pollen out your eyes.

Ulthough Obviously Not Very Hygienic ..... Is Sneezing a Sypthom Of CV19? I understands it's Main Sypthoms are: a High Temperature and a New Continuous Cough :cuppa

doesn't matter whether it's a symptom of cv19.

the point is that sneezing is probably the single highest vehicle for rapid germs transmission. the carry is up to 6m, i'm told, too. so even properly applied 2m social distancing is absolutely inadequate in a poorly ventilated indoor setting occupied by sneezers

I've had severe hay fever since I was a teenager and it ain't pleasant. I've tried everything to combat it. Bee pollen, herbal teas, eye drops & eye wash, nasal sprays (nasal corticosteroids, cromolyn sodium, decongestants), all sorts of prescriptions (antihistamines, oral corticosteroids), and even those long-term allergy shots (immunotherapy). The only thing that relieves the persistent heavy sneezing that I use is a nasal irrigation bottle and tube.

But even that is a short-term solution to a seasonally long nightmare. :cry

I think it probably does matter whether it's a sypthom or not ZP. It may spread Germs up to 6m, BUT if they're not CV 19 Germs, then you're Risk in No Worse than usual. :hmmmm

For those that might like to enforce compulsory wearing of masks ..... I'd suggest they try and inforce the 2m Rule before they try and take that one on. I thought my DO had a few idiots but try visiting any supermarket ... It's a bloody nightmare, I'm sure these idiots are breeding. :cuppa

I guess you've already tried it PBD, but the NHS website recommends putting vaseline around your nose to trap pollen, along with other advice. For anyone else, the link is here:

you're missing the point, pal.

more sneezing = more transmission.

c19 is believed to be asymptomatic in ~50% of confirmed cases (Iceland study) and is obviously not mutually exclusive of hayfever.

I would always recommend starting to take your hay fever tablets a good month before the start of the season, to build up a defence against it.

So the point being you could have both hayfever and Covid-19 at the same time. Sneezing would exacerbate the transmission of the virus.
I'm just kind of re-phrasing what you're saying ziggy.
