You can ask royal mail to do things and they can ignore them. My question is if they wont listen what do you do ?.

By the way this is not a dig at the union I've always supported them and been a member of unions for over 30 years

Actually watched it as I'm fed up with the daily Tory death watch and f***ing backslapping how well they are handling the virus situation
.
He's totally unhinged and still spouting of service blah blah, he's as bad as Rico and his cronies putting profits before people and crying crocodile tears over another Colleague losing his life.

Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

I note that they've asked royal mail to do the same as other employers of key workers and give us a bonus.

it doesn't matter what he says. people still seem to be negative to the union. if they feel that strongly then maybe do as he suggests and send in your mobile number to him and have a chat over the phone about your concerns.

It really doesn't because the business isn't listening so what's his next step?daveyeff wrote:it doesn't matter what he says....
There's only so long you can pretend to yourself that RM will eventually come knocking at your door, Terry is stalling for time and it's bloody obvious to anyone that he doesn't have a plan B. Obvious to the members and obvious to the RM board.
Why would I give him my phone number, is there anything he would say to me individually that he's afraid to tell the members publicly?
Anyway he's already got my mobile number, he never calls, he never texts....

well put your points to him woody over the phone. i am sure you will receive a satisfactory answer. as he says you can always opt out of being a union member if you dont want to support the CWU. it certainly isn't obvious to me or thousands of other members that he hasn't got a plan b. i think when all this sh***s over with there will definately be another plan of action. they are there to support us, protect jobs, and Ts and Cs. i support them and i always will.Woody Guthrie wrote:It really doesn't because the business isn't listening so what's his next step?daveyeff wrote:it doesn't matter what he says....

The business doesn't care what he says and he doesn't care what his members say. There's proof of this from the amount of deleted comments and silenced members on the Facebook myself included. How many depots have walked out non union backed after all that he said the union had done? I know ours did approx 10 days after he gave his speech about how the union had got PPE in all offices and social distancing had been sorted. Prior to our walkout we'd had a union H&S rep in our office who gave the all clear apart from introducing a one way system.

Union and Terry far from perfect but how far is Royal Mail & Rico.
I for one feel much better paying my union subs each week & taking my chance there.
Then saving £2/3 per week having no union & taking a chance on Royal mail & Rico looking after us better

Terry and Dave are like jilted boyfriends at the moment, not getting the message that RM have stopped listening, or caring about what they have to say, the union has been kicked to the kerb, it's finished.
