Special leave, are there any documents relating to this

Been asked by rep to complete an online form for coronavirus. I don't have symptoms but have underlying health issues so wanting to go the SSP route but can't see any documents relating to this specifically.

In our office people are told they need a GP note or they have to work.

But many GPs are not issuing Covid notes.

So all those people in vulnerable groups defined by Public Health England have no choice - they have to work.

Not in our office.

If you have a decent manager you might get lucky.

It's a glaring gap in procedures, and means thousands of posties with the following underlying conditions are forced to work if they can't get a GP note.

lung conditions, such as asthma, COPD, emphysema or bronchitis
heart disease, such as heart failure
chronic kidney disease
liver disease, such as hepatitis
conditions affecting the brain and nerves, such as Parkinson's disease, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), a learning disability or cerebral palsy
diabetes
problems with your spleen – for example, sickle cell disease, or if you've had your spleen removed
a weakened immune system as the result of conditions such as HIV and AIDS, or medicines such as steroid tablets or chemotherapy
being very overweight (having a BMI of 40 or above

To clarify, the only people getting the automatic NHS letters are the extremely vulnerable. I've been banging a bit of a lone drum on this for weeks.

People most at risk from coronavirus are sometimes called "shielded" or "extremely vulnerable" people.

This includes people who:

have had an organ transplant
are having certain types of cancer treatment
have blood or bone marrow cancer, such as leukaemia
have a severe lung condition, such as cystic fibrosis or severe asthma
have a condition or are taking medicine that makes them much more likely to get infections
are pregnant and have a serious heart condition

I am an Asthma sufferer who works in a very small office with almost zero social distancing.
I am currently 3 weeks into a 4 week special leave C agreement with my DOM.
unpaid, no SSP.
Luckily I can afford to do so, others may not be so lucky.
I shall not be returning to work until the Government give the all clear to do so.
you are a long time dead and I have no wish to speed up my demise by working in an unsafe environment in my eyes.
