RMSS - Relay to deliver live test kits.

Announced yesterday that RMSS Relay have been awarded the contract to collect covid 19 live test samples from NHS test sites and deliver to testing labs nationwide.
Cant wait to see the SSOW and Risk Assesment. Probably be given a bar of soap!

Seriously I'm sure most of us want to help, but there are going to have to be very stringent measures put in place to ensure personal safety. Apparently volunteers are sought and will be paid the appropriate pay rate!

I think it is so DOs certainly won't have them pass through. Don't know about MC collections or whether Relay will send their vans direct to the NHS sites

Just to clarify, you may have seen on tv the drive in test centres for NHS staff. As I understand it the plan is for these type of centres to increase, to enable testing of more vulnerable groups. Us Relay (Gas Boxes and loads of other things!!) drivers will collect the blood and swab samples from these centres and take to labs for testing. I don't think this will have any impact on the already published info re home testing kits which are intended to be put into a postbox and transmitted through the usual network.
