Not heard of that happening but nothing surprises me anymore.
I’ve heard of people asking to cancel their annual leave which I think is a dangerous game, you can hardly book time off outside of annual leave as it is let alone gladly handing RM back a week or 2. Wasn’t there reports on here last year of some posties carrying over weeks, even months in some cases, of annual leave which has accumulated over years of employment?!
Back to the original poster hope everyone in your depot stands up for themselves. Would be ironic though if they forced people to take annual leave now, only for the virus to spread through the depot forcing others home, bet management would be asking people to come in again!

The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

well my constructive debate would be this - with most of the coronaforum dedicated to pointing out the dearth of safety and distancing in RM, if youre not happy why couldnt you take yourself out of harms way using annual leave for at least a week? After all it doesnt look like many will be going anywhere on holiday very soon does it? . So apart from not wanting to appear youve 'convenienced' the sworn enemy known as royal mail somehow, would'nt it make sense?ssdd wrote:I love a bit of constructive debate.

Wasn't told there wasn't enough mail to justify having to take holidays now but was told i wasn't allowed to cancel any leave i have as Rm above have apparently said you cant cancel any leave due to Coronavirus however was told you could swap it to vacant weeks if there was any as thats standard policy anyway
