As usual though we don’t help ourselves. I used a van yesterday - the back tyres PSI were 12 and 14 (I did think it looked low when the driver who’s van it is passed me in the street on Friday, I doubt he’s ever done a vehicle check ever). In the passenger footwell there were 5 mail sacks, 3 empty 2 litre bottles of coke, about 10 chocolate bar wrappers. Underneath it all the carpet had been scrunched up, I’ve no idea how. Down the side next to the drivers seat there was a half eaten sausage roll.

I hope once we come out of this pandemic individually and as a business we take cleanliness and hygiene seriously. No one is expecting a 5 star valet, but it’s not difficult to remove your rubbish at the end of your rounds and brush off any crumbs you’ve made. A manager remaining in the office till everyone gets back (I know, don’t make me laugh!) and checking each van with a stage warning for any being brought back filthy should do the trick.

Our vans are the same. Unfortunately I get a different van every day and some of them are like driving round inside a skip. There are no cleaning products available, not even a dustpan and brush. One I got in looked like the inside of the windscreen was cleaned with greasy chip paper so I asked the manager for some glass cleaner, he dug out a bottle of spray but there wasn't any paper so had to use loo roll. We must have the filthiest fleet in the country!

ive taken to putting a tray in the passenger footwell and anything im going to throw away goes in it and is emptied at the end of day.

Suddenly felt off colour and its woken my anxiety and got nervous wondering if its the virus or if its just a warm day and tiredness is creeping in after being hammered all week.

We were notified yesterday that a colleague "has deceased". "Please gather around stop what you are doing, I have a sad announcement to make" - not confirmed it was the virus, but, off work since Tuesday.

The numbers of dead in this country are an underestimate. Up until now deaths in care homes haven't been reported. And how many people are dying at suddenly at home?

Sorry for the morbid post but I'm absolutely disgusted, angry and yes, worried about where we are going with this.

Very sorry to hear about your colleague, dreadful thing to happen in any office.

If there's any chance that this is Covid related i wouldn't be entering the workplace until a deepclean has been performed.

It is a shock. You could have heard a pin drop. Then came a series of gasps of disbelief. (Because for some f**king reason everyone feels like this is happening somewhere else and won't affect them) . The DOM said that they'd take advice on what was necessary regards a clean - so it looks like the cause was COVID-19. Haven't heard anything today.

I wouldn't hedge my bets on that one article...

It's an opinion.
It's the opinion of David Nabarro, professor of global health at Imperial College, London, and an envoy for the World Health Organisation on Covid-19.

It ranks above my opinion, probably yours too but there are tons of scientific documents out there that emphasise the difficulties in making a safe and successful vaccine for a Coronavirus. You do know there still isn't one for Sars or Mers or any other coronavirus for that matter?
