we've been told the same
Same at ours.A few weeks ago when they were waiting for the ballot result our dom said a number of managers asked the area manager about it and he said he had no problem with it but didn't see how the vans could get there any earlier.

in fairness to our dom he is worried about it becaude he does acknowledge it is goodwill that keeps our office running, so he is concerned that if he is overruled then he is shitting on the guys he has known and worked with for years,

its there problem not ours...as far as im concerned the national agreement is to revert to your original times and that is what i will be doing...from this saturday

fair enough they might have to rejig stuff and you might find you get shorter saturday attendances!

you probably will be able to go back to 5am starts................... but under flexibility you will finish when your ips is done, you have prepped and then delivered it all........ for no overtime payment, but never mind because you can make your time back next tuesday, you voted for this ( 64%)

Can`t believe what I`m reading

Get a grip, its part of the national agreement, no early Saturdays=no flexibility or co operation on anything. Don`t care what time the truck comes in or the missort run, they agreed it, its their problem, don`t care if we`re out the door as the truck turns up, they have to find ways.

End of story, for gods sake don't back down.

Aye - he'll not be lasting long under the new "crap on 'em from a great height" regime - I think he'll be selling the big issue sooner rather than later.

FINAL "AGREEMENT" PAY AND MODERNISATION 4. SECTION 2-DELIVERING CHANGE AND FLEXIBILITY "SATURDAY START TIMES AND AND OVERALL LENGTH OF ATTENDANCE ON A SATURDAY WILL REMAIN AS BEFORE UNLESS AGREED OTHERWISE LOCALLY" QUESTION 1 AS BEFORE WHEN!? QUESTION 2 AGREED BY WHO? QUSETION 3 HOW LOCAL IS LOCAL? . FOR THIS IS JUST ONE CONTENTIOUS PARAGRAPH FROM THIS "AGREEMENT".

what they will tell us is that the buisness cant run with us going back to 5 oclock and so it cant be done and then the union will nationally back royal mail and tell us to just get on with it along with the other 64 % who will vote against you any way :evil/mad
