Let me say this the "agreement" is in and it is indespute as to it's interpretation for we will have to shape the "agreement" in our favour their are "some nice word's in their" but royalmail have their own agender and these will all be gone if they have their way. FOR THAT IS WHAT WE ARE NOW FIGHTING FOR!.lovejoy wrote:This is a major agreement, but in my view it is not in the same league as the Way Forward. That changed our pay scales, our grades (PHG) , our leave allowances, our sick pay,the way we worked, and much more.k979aaa wrote:I never said i was better than anyone! i was simply saying this "agreement" is a failed one i never called anyone till they started haveing a go at my post for if he (Night Tonic) think's it is so good let him post his own thread. For i do not mind constructive criticism but i have been a postman along time and can remember the way forward agreement and all the unoffical industrial action that followed that failed agreement!. And it must be said now this so called "agreement" is a hell of alot worse. I look forward to your post's for this is important to all of you.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:No but it is certainly plagued by some people who think that they are better than the rest of us and keep putting posters and their views down.Night Tonic wrote:Is this forum plagued by people that don't have the nonce to get off their fat arses and make something of their lives rather than getting anal about our bosses? Jeesh, some of you need a kick up the backside. Its a job and nothing more.
This dispute has 2 major issues - Flexibility and pensions. The pensions debate will be had in the new year and we must now tackle the flexibility in an organised and united manner. Whatever our views the agreement is in and while we sit here debating it Royal Mail are already drawing up their plans. We need to remember who the real enemies are!
Yes, it's far from over. So will I. Naturally, anyone still in the Labour Party won't be getting my vote, as usual, and neither will be anyone who encouraged a YES vote.lovejoy wrote:The ballot box will decide on the fate of the national union officials.IWW Fellow Worker wrote:lovejoy wrote:We need to remember who the real enemies are!

All i'll say is the no voting EC members hardly provided inspiration to the membership did they??
I wonder what vote Dave Warrens branch returned?? Surely the branch of the no campaign leader couldn't have returned a YES vote could it?? ........
I'll judge my PEC selections this year on the same criteria as i always do.

Yes, we are in the happy position of being able to use their very own rules and regulations to bring about change. It's up to the more progressive elements among us to spread the word, and that job will be so much the easier once the screws start sending out the flyers for some unpaid overtime.AndyK wrote:.Yes, it's far from over. its upto us to take this agreement and use it for our benifit, flexability should only used in a real emergency or to aid in better homelife balance maybe longer weekends more saturday-mondays for day off.
You are correct in saying the deal should be for the benifit of us but these two :cfo & :lfo will not see it that way infact it will be used to the detriment of all postmen/postwomen!. And for that very reason we cannot and must not let our guard down now even now especially before christmas!.AndyK wrote:.Yes, it's far from over. so you have more inside info then lovejoy?are you saying dave warrens branch returned a yes vote?what i dont understand is how any postperson could vote yes to a deal that is crap, when we were taking industrial action royal mail were taking the p*ss and flouting laws on the use of casual workers, the cwu at a high level did nothing.do you really think that royal mail are going to sit down with the cwu and negotiate on flexibility and other important issues?thanks to the yes vote royal mail will say its our way or no way--and another quick question the vote on taking strike action in the first place was huge, the vote to accept the pay deal was also large if this swing in votes was during a general election most people would think a fiddle had taken place?lovejoy wrote:The ballot box will decide on the fate of the national union officials.IWW Fellow Worker wrote:lovejoy wrote:We need to remember who the real enemies are!

You may be looking for a complete clear out at the elections as I understand a number of those who oposed the deal, including its leader, are members of the Labor Party!IWW Fellow Worker wrote:So will I. I was told a couple of years ago by someone at divisional level that many Labour Party members no longer publicise the fact in CWU election material because they know it will count against them.kill Joy wrote:You may be looking for a complete clear out at the elections as I understand a number of those who oposed the deal, including its leader, are members of the Labor Party!
