This racing bar chart shows the number of countries with recorded cases of COVID-19 from March 1st to March 28th. These racing bar charts/graphs are interesting; you can see each horizontal axis data switching rankings with the others.

3,605, including two NHS nurses.

And remember when people said that the seasonal flu kills more in a year than the number of COVID-19 deaths? Look at this way: The rate of deaths caused by COVID-19 is shockingly quick. Add to the fact that tests COVID-19 are still not widely available.

COVID-19 Deaths Worldwide (April 6, 2020).jpg
And it just gets worse for the UK. No slow down. We're at 5,373 deaths as we move up the table.

Italy are still top of the league, while the United States looks set to overtake Spain, thanks to the brilliant leadership of their skipper, Donald Trump. Spain, by the way, are holding steady at second place. China's ranking on the table has dropped, and they're likely to be relegated to the lower division. And look at the Germans. They've yet to make an strong performance on the pitch.

11,329 deaths in the UK. A slight drop compared to the previous days. But there's a word of caution: the holiday weekend statistics could be carried over to tomorrow, the first business day of this week. This means Britain could still be on track to have the highest number of deaths in Europe in the coming weeks.
