It's a mish-mash of this and that no doubt, I'm going to have to order some stuff which could possibly come by courier as it's my 7yr olds birthday the end of the month.
If it's not a courier, sorry.
If it's not a courier, sorry.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Depends entirely on your definition of essential.Parmey888 wrote:What is the views of people having to deliver so much nonessential purchases?
Are materials to entertain and home school children essential?
Are materials to entertain yourself essential?
Is advertising a food delivery service to potentially housebound people essential?

The best way to look at it is, we are keeping the lock down going by helping people get the things they think they need to keep sane, therefore we are buying time for the NHS.

This. I love delivering things to people that they ordered and they want, especially at the moment given the over-riding feeling of fear and frustration. It is spreading happiness, as opposed to distributing the usual bills and rubbish.2yearpostie wrote:The best way to look at it is, we are keeping the lock down going by helping people get the things they think they need to keep sane, therefore we are buying time for the NHS.

If we didn’t deliver it, people would have to go out to buy it, shops would have to open, no lockdown, therefore a much higher death rate.

Yesterday had a large 2ft cube box, lightweight, warning label: "contains balloons filled with non-flammable gas".

At least people are at home for a change. That offsets the increase in packages.

It’s a slog, but as apparently every inch of our job is ‘essential’, it’s not for us to police or pass judgment on. There’s no restriction on online purchases, so I’m not going to begrudge people buying whatever they want.
