They are having to let anybody over 65 on a ventilator die out there, as there are so many 40-50 year olds needing them. They have to do something.

They all stopped a while back.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Is it still possible to send and receive post?

Most countries are prioritizing keeping postal services up and running during the crisis – though not all at full capacity. The UK, Germany, Australia and the US have for the moment committed to maintaining normal operations, but other countries are scaling back in order to protect postal workers and the populace at large.

In France, only around 1 in 10 branches of La Poste are still functioning, and deliveries have been reduced to three days a week; Spain has scaled back over-the-counter services to mornings only Monday to Friday, with minimal staffing; Italy, which is currently business as usual, is under pressure from the postal unions to cut back. Uruguay’s Correo Uruguayo has also shut branches with high customer footfall.

It is baffling to me why we cant move to delivering every other day (if we are granted the power to suspend the USO) as even Amazon now are taking a week to deliver packages. We don't have to be operating at our peak efficiency at this time - reduce the service, half the staffing and keep people safer. You could easily alternate rounds, so they only go out every other day. It would make the office emptier and more able to safely operate the two meter rule.

Zara are still going. Had loads on the LAT this week and River Island yesterday. WTH would you order clothes now, its not like you are going anywhere for the next 3 months. They were probably the ones who panic bought all the food and bog roll and they won't be able to fit in their clothing by the time they get to wear it! The only worthwhile thing I've delivered all week is a few boxes of contacts and some pills.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
