LAPSING while we are in lockdown !!

Why the F*#k are we in my office this forthcoming week being asked by the manager to do LAPSING ?
Aren’t we doing enough by coming in doing our job at a big risk to ourselves enough for these insane selfish bosses?

In Bolton North all drivers are having to take 1 and half walks out as from Monday, why are we not walking out?

All non drivers starting at 5am to prep walks, drivers in at 8.30 am to bag up and go, non drivers taking some mail to walks nearest office

That would work to a degree, as long as your office has some walks that can be walked to easily.
How is the mail getting into a DO for 5am? Or are they running a day behind.

They must be running a day behind. Wave 2 mail generally won't leave MCs until around 06:15-06:30ish and I doubt it'll be too long before MCs push that dispatch time back by an hour to around 07:30ish

Have you got the time to do the Lapsing and finish within your Contracted Hours? If you haven't got the time, and do not want to go over and claim the OT, just inform your DOM. You cannot be forced to take Lapsing and go over your Official Finish Time.

If However you have enough time to do that Lapsing then it's just Royal Mail Work in Royal Mail's Time (TBH it's got to be expected in these times of being short staffed) .... Not a lot you can do about it I'm afraid.
