Age doesn't seem to matter, I've seen mentions on the news of younger people with no underlying health issues suffer really badly from it
Did somebody in there early 20's not pass away this week.
It was first reported that 21-year-old Chloe Middleton died of the coronavirus last weekend, but the news has since been updated to say that she most likely died of a heart attack instead.
Chloe Middleton: Death of 21-Year-Old Not Recorded as COVID-19

The death of 21-year-old Chloe Middleton – the UK’s youngest coronavirus victim, her family believe – has not been recorded in the official toll because of confusion about how she died, the Guardian can reveal. Middleton was taken to Wexham Park hospital in Slough last weekend after she had a heart attack. Attempts to resuscitate her failed and she was pronounced dead soon after arriving, a source said. A Berkshire coroner said the death was related to Covid-19 after being told Middleton had a cough, the source said. But this surprised medics at the hospital, who have not recorded it as coronavirus incident.

It will be interesting to see if/when an antibody test becomes available how many of us guessed right and how many just had flu, a heavy cold or a hangover.
That’s what I don’t fully understand. You feel symptoms so self isolate for 7 days and then return to work. No test is available so you can’t know for sure if you’ve had it or not. A few weeks later you start to feel similar symptoms. Do you assume the first time was coronavirus so don’t self isolate or do you self isolate for a second time in case the first time wasn’t corona?
Yes!

If you have symptoms, DO NOT GO INTO WORK. End of..

Horrible for the girls family no matter what but this arrogance about I'm young so will be fine is unreal. Think of the people you live with, family or friends. What about your colleagues etc too.
What are you even talking about.

I am not going to demand the people I live with not to go out of the house and say 'THINK ABOUT ME!!!!' you cannot go to work!, you cannot go to Tesco!', you cannot go and exercise!.

So I would not expect them to say to me the same thing you just said.

And yes, being young and healthy means you will highly likely be fine if you get the virus, but it doesn't mean we are going to work and walking up to the most vulnerable person at the depot and kissing them, nor does it mean we are coming home and breathing in our grandad's face.

Any vulnerable RM employees should be at home and anybody who lives with vulnerable people shouldn't be be going to work or should arrange to live in different properties.

Im sorry Noris, Im usually with you but I cant back that attitude. We absolutely should be thinking about other people. Do I need to go to the shops? Is it worth the risk of me getting it and passing it on? It's easy for people to think about themselves and accept the risk but you are also accepting that risk for others as well.

I Had been told to safe isolate for 14 days after coming into contact with a known case and am going back in this afternoon , i am quite sure i had it with mild symptoms ! I really hope i did have it but cant be sure with no testing available. Even so i do NOT want to return , the sooner the union call a mass walkout the better ! , i feel really let down by this union.

It’s absolutely crazy that even during this people are STILL trying to make time!

I think that sometimes, for some of us, “making time” is the only way we can get through the day, or the only way we can feel a sense of positivity, that we’re somehow winning in some way.

Been coming in midday lately to go out and do my half of delivery after my partner has come back from doing his half.

Monday i’ve been asked to come in regular time, take my car out to delivery point (manager said RM insurance will cover this). Then figure a way of doing the round with 1 to a van still.... i.e. one walk from one loop to the next. Our last loop is nowhere near the first one, so he wants me to walk 30 mins back to my car at the end of the round, as well as a load of unnecessary walking in the middle.

YES. Somebody has to do it or this country will die.

Deserters were shot in the war for a reason.

Plus it is all a load of fearmongering madness by white collar cowards.

Been using a mixture of SHAMPOO AND WATER in an empty bottle
Shampoo is as effective as soap at destroying the viruses protective shell and thus rendering the virus uneffective.

Royal Mail ie Rico Back needs to be shamed and held accountable for this lack of managment and leadership.

Ill be working until saturday. Then im off

What a wonderful time to work. Sun out. Few cars on the road. No construction. Peace and quiet.
