Yes, very stressed and worried. The two metre rule is more like 20cm, we are still shoulder to shoulder, back to back. Nothing has changed.

Get out then. Take note of what's happening. We all have the right to a safe work place and you haven't got one,

That's it. Im out. I will give them tomorrow where I will tell the DOM I will be taking 3 weeks annual leave and see where we are from there. If the situation is still f****d then I will UNHAPPILY take unpaid leave until the situation improves.

My reasons will be that my wife is in the vulnerable bracket with a number of conditions as well as being pregnant. I feel that RM are unwilling and unable to protect our wellbeing and il be damned if I go home and make my wife sick for some f***ing Dominoes leaflets and Screwfix catalogues. RM should be ashamed of themselves and god help Rico if I ever bump into him.

You do right, I think you’ll be the first of many. All it will take is a few offices to walk then others across the nation will follow. Stay safe
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

It's s**t Ren. I feel for you mate. I would be tempted to do likewise in your circumstances. I'm afraid RM as well as the government are well behind the curve in their response to this crisis. All the best to you, the wife and the little one yet to come.

I think you're right. The sense of feeling is it wont take much for it to boil over. My DOM ain't going to like it and to some degree I feel sorry for him. For his many faults this is not one of them. Our office already has allot of non drivers and one of the drivers going will be felt and it will be a situation of their own making. I just hope he understands it's not personal.

Cheers mate. I just hope the situation improves both at work and for the country. I will be more than happy to return. I'm only a newbie having only been on the job 12 years :Very Happy and feel totally let down from our higher ups in what amounts to a total lack of loyalty and compassion towards their staff.

Yes, very stressed and worried. The two metre rule is more like 20cm, we are still shoulder to shoulder, back to back. Nothing has changed.

Nobody is washing their hands - and I mean nobody. Everyone touching their faces, pens in mouths, PDAs passed around. It is truly frightening.
To be fair the problems in your last paragraph are entirely down to your colleagues, not royal mail. Are they thick or what, do they not see the pictures on the news from Italy France and Spain? That's whats coming. And it's frightening. It's no joke. It's ok getting on at royal mail for not providing this and that but the simple basic things, that's down to your work 'mates' not caring for themselves or you.

I think that’s just it. I work with some great people but also some absolute idiots, the kind who think the situation we are in right now is a joke. You know the kind, won’t give you 2 inches let alone 2 metres, still walking round making silly noises burping in your face.

Then there’s the ones who still don’t wash their hands after using the loo, who see the 2 metre gap you’ve left as you queue for Specials as an opportunity to push in front.

Things are getting heated, people are getting frustrated at management and rightly so. But as usual we really don’t help ourselves.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

I'm back in on monday after 2 weeks. If the office is a joke I will take 2 weeks leave my Jan and march weeks. I'm planning on leaving this September so it bothered about losing them. I know I'll prob end up paying then weeks back when I leave but that's worth it in my eyes.
