Im not sure you can really give credit to the union for Royal Mail just about doing the bare minimum they can for the staff that still have to work.

If anything the CWU should have been pushing much harder, much earlier for members of staff to be protected much better than they have been, don't forget we are still putting a huge mount of people into risky situations and for what? deemed key workers yet nothing we are currently delivering is essential, if we were to be taking food and prescriptions to people would be one thing, but domino's leaflets and studio catalogues, not really worth the risk people are currently taking.

The CWU called for social distancing - and we’ve seen that implemented across the UK

The CWU called for extra PPE - and RM have bought 2 million pairs of gloves and 200,000 sanitizers

The CWU demanded an end to shared vans - RM have banned this

The CWU today called for an end to D2D during this period - RM have agreed that it will only be delivered if you have other mail for the address.

It's actually when I think about it quite Trump - ish.

Shared vans are back tomorrow at my DO, it lasted 48hrs. Fortunately I'm off for the rest of the week.

I was totally ashamed to be a royal mail worker today and its causing a lot of stress
dominos leaflets,farm foods today and yesterday one of the guys in work said a old woman opened the door after getting her dominos leaflet and shouted..ROYAL MAIL YOUS ARE ARE A FU...NG DISGRACE....I haven't had that but ive had a few people opening there door and laughing at me stating dominos is closed mate is there really any need for this
4th emergency service..dont think so....a joke that's what we are

What use are gloves? If you touch your face without being able to wash regularly doesn't matter if you have gloves on or not you're still at risk!!
