Son looking to be a postman

Post by magpiedave2017 »

My son is looking to work as a postman - do you recommend it?

He currently works in a warehouse but fancies the fresh air doing a round.

Where can I find the approximate starting wage for a postman so he can see how it compares with his current wages.

Thank you

It’s a great job. Hours are good as when you’re finished; you just go. I normally started at 7:30/8:00am and finished anywhere between 1/2/3pm. Starting pay is around £10 an hour and goes up after six months.

He can expect to be walking up to around 10 mile a day but the shifts fly by as you’re busy with parcels and letters etc. The sorting frame takes a while to get used too but after a few weeks, it’s easy enough! :Very Happy

Good luck.
