Don,t Panic !!!!!
I don't want to belittle people's concern over COVID-19 and come across as insensitive to one's health, wages, and the Royal Mail vs. CWU arrangement regarding the current situation, but I think many here are overreacting. For instance, there are too many new topics flooding this chat forum which are covering the same subject. And many key-workers here are saying they want to stay home and self-isolate without good reason.
As long as we follow the recommended health procedures, be brave and knuckle down, we'll get through this. The British have fought greater threats before. Fought them on the beaches, on the landing grounds, in the fields, in the streets, and in the hills. And never surrendered.
I've lived through many trying times before, such as earthquakes and floods. And I've seen a lot of bad things in my travels around the world. Military conflicts, gang attacks, drug overdoses, even a tsunami at a vacation resort. I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate.
Chin up.

A virus doesn't care care if you're "being brave and knuckling down".PostmanBitesDog wrote:I don't want to belittle people's concern over COVID-19 and come across as insensitive to one's health, wages, and the Royal Mail vs. CWU arrangement regarding the current situation, but I think many here are overreacting. In fact, it prefers people who are "bravely knuckling down", because it has a better chance of infecting you.

With all the criticism we've been tossing at Royal Mail management, it's still nice to see that they're tweeting out some heartwarming messages from customers who appreciate our bravery during these scary times.
