I think it's a no-no, considering the moves that other offices are taking. Don't think CWU will agree.

Our rep was discussing the use of cars with people today as a way of moving to one person one van.

Yours in not the only one davey! It would solve a lot of problems if we were allowed to, but it would need suitable business insurance and remuneration. I can see RM trying to implement some of their 'plan' off the back of these proposed split shifts.

So with all the arguments going on you now want to contaminate your car?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I can see them implementing all of it (with CWU agreement.)

Dom said union agreed that we can use our cars, they also said we can van share if we trust the person?(madness) Seriously had enough now, I'm tempted to just go off unpaid. Today we have 7 people standing together on tracked. What they going to do clean the vans everytime we swap vans?

I don't want to use my car. I just heard about it, apparently it's ok with the div rep.
One minute they want to decimate our working conditions and get rid of up to 10,000 staff, the next they are asking members to use their cars.
The problem is, some of the less informed members will do it.
