Your office is something else.
well is the ''Royal Mail brief to managers'' post that was put out by Postman last night not an agreed item like? cos if its not then our office is doing unagreed practises. according to them the safety of the workforce is paramount, hence the van sharing being knocked on the head.
No it's not an 'agreed item' and even if it was it mentions nothing about dropping off or storing mail at people's houses.

It mentions possible options that should first be discussed with the rep to decide what best fits the office, it also mentions remote start as an option but that does not mean dumping a pile of mail on your doorstep, it means making your own way to your first delivery point.

We stopped vanshare today and one person did a walk and the other went out on foot with a bag at a round near the office.
No trolleys as they are all fooked. We even had head office say can we use our own cars which was stopped as no insurance and then was told , could we get a bus :Very Happy :Very Happy :Very Happy ( out of town delivery office with 2 miles to the nearest bus route)
Nobody had a scooby as managers don't manage , they are told what to do by higher up.
One round out the two was done and then will flipflop tomorrow and if someone wants docket they can do the extra, bloody shambles

It would suit part-time hours better.
It would be part of a range of solutions.

well its obviously been agreed as to what works best for people between the rep/manager/individual concerned. its down to local agreements apparently. also says the list is not exhaustive so you can expect to hear even more bizarre practices in the coming weeks. its madness.

Thats what I did and am doing - im a part timer though and my driver agreed to tie the mail down for us. Just worked from the van and had no issues.

Also means I dont need to go near the office and all the potential hazards that entails so am happy
