It has to be coming this week. So far all of Boris's weak messages have not got through.
I mean, look at New Zealand. Proper leadership.

This has been very difficult for the Tories.
State intervention goes against everything they stand for, they're caught between ideology and reality and have been from the start of this.
Every move Boris has made has been one step behind where we should have been, I'm not sure how much of this is Boris and how much is the voices around him but it really has been weak leadership.

I have heard a rumour that banks, the nhs and councils....have been told UK is locking down on Thursday.... anyone heard this also?
May be nonsense, but anyhow, I have been listening the the current parliament debate on the situation and they all seem to be requesting we shutdown.

My neighbour is MOD Plod and he's been told to expect the country to be in Lockdown by Sunday.norris9 wrote:I have heard a rumour that banks, the nhs and councils....have been told UK is locking down on Thursday.... anyone heard this also?

Honestly, I expect it to be announced tonight to come into immediate affect. For how long Im not sure. 5-7 days and then reviewed maybe. Not sure if it will be nationwide or London/Urban centres.
The fact he's been in this Cobra meeting and the briefing is at half 8 after the shops have shut I think might hint at it. People wouldn't be able to rush out to the shops and what not. It gives the Army and Police the night to mobilise.

Will that mean that RM will shut down?Britain has been ordered into an unprecedented lockdown as coronavirus shuts the UK with a huge clampdown on all social interation.
Boris Johnson announced the most stringent restrictions on citizens since World War Two with gatherings of more than two people banned.
In a statement to the nation that all “non-essential” shops will be closed, with only food stores, hardware shops, chemists, petrol stations and newsagents allowed to remain open.

"All shops selling non-essential goods, such as clothing and electronic stores, are ordered to close"
How busy are we going to be now...delivering all those non-essential items everybody will be turning to the internet to buy?
