No pay in two weeks

After the dust settles the corrupt and exploitative folk should be treated all the same. Regardless of whether they sold toilet roll at an extortionate price or took the opportunity to get folk off the books. This crisis will see people try to reform community spirit. There's no place for people like that in a community I'm afraid.

It's about cash flow, and reserves. RM can only spend what we earn (or borrow), subsidised with anything is set aside spare (won't be much). I'm guessing the accountants will have looked at this and said that if mail/packets stopped dead the company would be bankrupt in a couple of weeks. This will have been before the key worker announcement but we shouldn't count our chickens. And there's no way anyone has more new money to lend us, especially how much the Government is borrowing already. It doesn't have to be a conspiracy, it's just commonsense. I know the managers in my unit have even been asked to dig out old IT equipment to see if it can be wiped and sold. It IS that bad, folks.

All computers (apart from those in the sorting machines) were replaced over the last year when migrating to Windows 10. I'd assume that they must have been sent to Sheffield as that's where things like PDAs and SD guns get sent out from

And they don't get sold either. They used to be cleaned up and distributed to the Third World in some sort of charity scheme until someone claimed he received an electric shock, and that was the end of that.
How much is obsolete IT stuff worth anyway? There's a skip-full at the local tip.

Take a deep breath, have a little think, mentally process what you are going to write, and then tap away.......I don't think you've represented yourself particularly well with this post, but it's only your second so you're still learning.....there is an edit option in the top right corner if you need to amend anything you have written, however in this case I'd probably just opt for the delete post option.....

RM going bust would actually produce this, there would have to be some type of postal service.

They didn't renationalise the railways but suspended the various franchises, which is very different. Renationalising RM would take an act of parliament to be passed, and a huge amount of cash.
Johnson probably has more important concerns to worry about and requirements for money at the moment.

Surely if we are a ''key'' industry then RM should be able to get some of this govt money to help towards their current high sick pay bill?

Seems like RM's way of forcing changes through by pleading poverty to me...

Well after todays meeting it's not a very bright idea to spread further fear into the workforce through the gold standard approach and risk the sick pay ramping up to even greater levels.
