Everyone should refuse van sharing, and insist on proper distancing in the office.

If they use the usual tactics of threats to make you do things against your will, then inform them you will put your concerns in writing to the DOM and cc Royal Mail HR. It is then on record.

Then do not go into work the next day.

We need to take matters into our own hands people. This is not a f****** drill.

maybe people could contact the head union guys and get their reaction on this and what they are doing. This is far more important as lives are at risk. Surprised people haven't walked out etc. But most aren't taking it seriously at all. It concerns me a lot and I'm relatively young, but still know there's huge risks and its avoidable with right action.

Younger people and healthy people *are* dying.

I know that, but what I mean is there are people who are older and have underlying conditions which aren't taking it seriously either, and even though I am at lower risk, I'm still at risk as how your body reacts changes from person to person. It's a myth that young people are not at risk.

So this still scares me a lot, but I don't understand why not many others are concerned by it.

I totally agree social distancing is 2mtr apart I for one will not be doing it I’m not refusing to work but I’m refusing to break government rules that put others and myself at risk

It's probably not going to be too long before we end up with a complete lockdown like they've got in Italy or France
Posties still working in Italy, don't know about France.

Sweet FA as far as I can see, bunkered down in HQ.......and managers desperately scrabbling trying to cover rounds or ask you to do a bit of this round and this
other round so they don't get a failure on a complete round - sending posties from other offices to cover, potential for spreading
infection, no sanitizer gel, wipes or gloves, this is corporate and management behaviour bordering on criminal negligence......

New delivery methods needs introduced ASAP

D/D must stop until this has passed there not important at all.

The longer were out in the streets and the more gates and doorbell's we touch the bigger the chance to catch this virus and sitting inches away from you partner in a van .

RMG should get half of there work force on delivery to work Mon wed Fri doing there own dutys and no lapsing why risks going to extra house's to have a better chance to catch this virus, the other half on delivery do Tue Thur sat then rotate following week

Doing that shift pattern stops van sharing

STOP van sharing ASAP
What about your first 15 hrs of the day in the office. Probably have more less than 2 meter interactions than being sat next to someone in a van for, what, 30 mins.

its not as if i am not taking this seriously cos i am, but people with thoughts as strong as this should be asking themselves should you really be at work at all. asymptomatic people are near you at work, they touch surfaces, door handles, letters, parcels, use toilet seats, turn on taps before washing their hands, there is an absolute endless list that would allow anyone to catch this virus from anyone who has it. so just saying that van sharing should stop won't do diddley if someone in your workplace has it. people who feel this strongly should self isolate.

I get your point, but this is about our employer doing everything they possibly can to minimise risk.

If they don't then we should ALL stay home. It's not about how strongly you "feel" about it - the virus doesn't care.

The government of this country has told us to social distance. lives are at risk and van sharing should stop now!

There's no point going on about van sharing if you can't distance within an office...
