The Royal Mail has vowed to continue providing the best delivery service possible in the circumstances, but will be keeping things under review as the situation with coronavirus develops.

A spokesperson for the organisation said: ‘The delivery of parcels and letters is a key way of keeping the country together and helping many people who may not have the option to leave their homes.

‘We will continue providing the best delivery service for you and protect the health of our people, and our customers. We have already made a series of adjustments to our parcel handling procedures. We are keeping our ways of working under review.

‘We understand that having the right information is very important during this time. So, we’ve made it easy for you to find out up-to-date information on our website.

‘Please look after yourself in your homes and at work, and know that Royal Mail will keep delivering.’

In what way is RM protecting the health of their staff?, by us putting packets on the doorstep...are they serious?

How can touching 700+ letterboxes a day be clean working? Some are wet inside!! maybe no human contact (some like to meet you on doorstep) but plenty of germ spreading , are we supposed to be immune or something?
