It's not so much the 5.4%, but the idea of flexibility. So, all due respect, but I'm not uniting with scum who would work us into an early grave.

Sorry guys...it seems the world has changed and moved on. I also am selling up and getting out of here - life has become just too stressful and simultaneously unrewarding. Hopefully I can find a place where old-fashioned values of customer care and values other than money prevail, if such a place still exists that accepts foreigners!
Good luck everybody...

But start as we mean to go on....

EVERY OFFICE MUST MAKE SURE THEY REVERT BACK TO THE ORIGINAL SATURDAY START TIMES FROM THIS SATURDAY AS PER THE AGREEMENT!

If we dont insist on this then it will be the start of them trying to put their own spin on the agreement
tell that to our dom...

i know he will have to go with the national agreement,,,but talking about digging his heals in..

We won't get to Frbruary before unofficial action takes place as a reaction against the attitude of the screws.

I doubt the vote was rigged. The amount of apathy was unbelievable, which coupled with the belief that we had already been let down by the Union, the unwillingness to strike over Christmas and that there was no point in further action, meant that so many people just didn't vote. But the point is that even if the amount of non votes were added to the NO's, we would still have been soundly beaten.

Apathy was only one reason this crock was accepted, the main reason was greed. Well all you YES voters, enjoy your blood money, working extra was nothing and don't forget. you will be covering my round for nothing from now on.

Remember, Judas only got 30 pieces of silver for his betrayal, you'll get £350, less tax and insurance (and you'll pay more than usual 'cos it'll be added to your basic wages that week). You have ruined your own jobs and those of all your colleagues and the future employees, and they'll be part time casuals. Say goodbye to your terms and conditions, your pension, full time working, the list is endless, unlike my patience. There's nowt as queer as folk, how true :evil/mad

Will people please stop calling Yes voters by abusive names. There are plenty on here who quite openly stated they would vote yes. I voted No and now I have to accept the deal as unfortunately does every other NO voter. I appreciate some people are as angry as I am disappointed

Ok complain about the deal but don't use this site to abuse the other side.

I posted my comment before I read your comment, if the expletive fits and a yes voter wants to challenge me I will defend everything I have said with an open honest and frank debate.

read this below :funneh

This latest pay deal sets a benchmark for the postal industry, the Communication Workers' Union (CWU) said.

"The CWU has always recognised that change is needed in the Royal Mail and this agreement demonstrates that the union is leading the change agenda," Dave Ward, the CWU's secretary general said.

Since Royal Mail lost its monopoly status on post deliveries at the start of 2006, 17 operators have entered the UK mail market.

This has created fierce competition for the former monopoly - particularly in the more profitable business post sector.
