Just thinking out loud.
Would Royal Mail be entitled to the Government loan, I appreciate it would have to be paid back but would of thought the terms/time limit would be favorable.
Are Royal Mail prepared to take a hit so our most vulnerable workers get paid especially those who have to be off till this blows over.
Perhaps if long term a % of our pay with the rest made up of SSP/Taxcredits/Universal credit.
There are plenty of our colleagues who would need serious financial help.
I appreciate this is going on in every sector but couldn't Royal Mail and other businesses do more?
We have at the mo a good set up I personally think, but for some, it's just not enough.

Royal Mail : A loan : Taking a hit
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

It's going to be those pushed onto unpaid leave with the schools shut (assuming we're not key workers) that will need extra help, especially single parents. They're bound to be pretty terrified right now.

Just been watching the news and my opinions the same, Boris must be thinking something along the lines of "I picked the wrong week to become prime minister"daveyeff wrote:could have a knock on effect. all the travel industry. hotel and leisure industry.
