What's the point when Scottish citizens could use these social distancing tools?

Do you honestly need the answer to that? :nana

Seriously though. I will work until I can not work. Not because I care about Rico and his shareholders but because I care about my friends and family and their friends and family receiving their goods and supplies in a time of crisis. No matter what shite they are buying. If it can help/take their minds away from this s**t show I want to step and be there for them. Sounds lame I know.

I think the military should step in for royal mail workers and offer a reduced service. They are helping supermarkets so why not do essential deliveries. Why have a full 6 day a week postal service in times like this? Especially when most of it is junk mail or online shopping rubbish which will increase due to boredom. I think only medical related goods should be dealt with. I think its rather selfish of people to buy anything online that is not really important and expect us to go to work and risk our health. Non essential buying should be stopped. As for letters, there is absolutely no need for a 6 day a week service in normal times, let alone in times like this.

It's probably been asked elsewhere on this forum....

But if we are forced by the government not to work and Royal Mail is shutdown, do we get paid our normal wages by Royal Mail?

I'd assume we'd still work. I asked someone in Italy if their postal service is still delivering and they said yes. We deliver important documents and important parcels that people who are stuck at home need. I could see a reduced service though. For a start - the older posties and those with medical conditions should now be asked to stay home. Any Posties with kids may need to stay home to look after their children. So we will start to see Posties going off work for some time.

Bin men are still needed, postmen/women are needed, food delivery drivers, supermarket workers, Doctors, Fire men/women, surgeons, doctors, pharmacists, news readers, journalists are still needed.....

-Can old and vulnerable just do the sensible thing and stay at home, order food online etc.

-Can companies do the right thing and make sure the old and vulnerable are not coming to work.

-Can any healthy/young people stay home when they have any cold/flu/corona symptoms.

-Can anyone with minor issues stay away from doctors and hospitals.

Surely this way the NHS won't be so screwed. It's down to the people.
